Dear MACSIANs

I am Wooi from the ACS graduating class of 74.

Some time ago, I chance upon discussing with Wong Yunn Chii (class of 71) on how we as alumni of ACS Malacca should contribute back to our alma mater. Among others, we feel that we should form an ACS Malacca Alumni (AMA) group to coordinate activities that will benefit the current and future students of ACS, as well as bring up the profile and branding of ACS.

To this end, the MACSIAN74 have taken the initiative to kickstart the formation of the AMA.

We feel that the 5 March Centennary Dinner provides a good opportunity to gather like minded people locally as well as overseas to discuss the formation of the AMA.

Thus, the MACSIAN74 have organised the following:

Date: 5 March 2011 (day of the ACS Malacca Centennary Dinner)

Venue: ACS Malacca
2:00pm to 3:30pm: Tour of our Alma Mater (gather at the front assembly area)

3:30pm onwards: Discussion on the formation of ACS Malacca Alumni (at the Tuckshop)

Mr Chong, the current ACS Deputy HM has agreed to lead the tour of our Alma Mater and everyone will have a chance to view their classrooms and check out to see if their graffiti is still on the desk or some corner of the wall!

In the spirit of “Reminiscing our days as ACS boys” we will be providing simple tuckshop finger food (kueh badak, Hassan mee goreng, goreng pisang balls, etc) as well as teh tarik and coffee. We will cater food for 75 people as we have no idea how many will turn up.

So, we would appreciate if everyone of you would help pass the word round regarding the School Tour as well as the formation of the AMA, and encourage as many as possible to attend. Naturally it would be good if all of you can come along to this inaugural meeting to form the AMA.

Regards
Wooi Tan
