ACS Malacca Centenary Celebration

Dear Old Boys of 85's ,

As we are moving to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of our alma mater , I hope all of you will give some kind of support and join the e-group of the Centenary Commitee to get ourselves updated prior to the celebrations.

If you have any ideas or any contributions eg art work , prints , photos or articles do share ok , dont be shy la , let the voice from 85s be heard.

For the outspoken ones eg Ivan Teoh - Artwork , KC Kua - Scouting days , Wah Sum - Motivations , Ronnie - Head of Librarian , Ng Wei Tuck - Chief Prefect / School Captain - we would like to hear from you , others like Robin , Seng Chye may want to share your mischiefs , Colin ,David Lee - Investment plans , stocks exchange , Jimmy Tan - Danok Girls ( hehe joking bro ) , Georgy - army days or datok kong services etc etc etc if not then just join our egroup here :-

Message From The ACS Principal

The ACS Centenary celebration has started , please let me know what do you think and how we can make our contributions to our alma mater.

Dear MACSIANS,

Greetings to all of you. It has been quite a while since I last communicatedwith all of you. I pray that all of you are in the best of health. Malacca ACSis already a 100 years as of this year.

Throughout the last 100 years many ofher illustrious sons have passed through it corridors and many of you have returnto help her in your valuable contributions for her well being.
The school will be celebrating it centennial celebrations by organizing a few eventsfor this occasion. The events are as follows:

i) A scout camp involving all Methodist Secondary School in Malaysia and Singapore. This camp is schedule for March School holidays.

ii) A Centennial Magazine that will be produce by the end of October.

iii) A Centennial Dinner for Old Boys of the School. ( tentatively in Jan 2011).

My appeal to all of you for four things .

Firstly I need articles from as many of you toshare your experience through this magazine as far as the school is concerned. Pleaseemail your articles for the magazine to me before May 2010. We truly need contributors from allMACSIAN for this magazine. The theme of the magazine will either be " Walking down memory Lane"or "Snapshots".

Secondly the school needs to find a printer among MACSIANs that can help us to print this magazine.The target date for printing the magazine is October 2010.

Thirdly the school needs some suggestions from all of you concerning this magazine. We welcomeconstructive ideas and inputs for this magazine. Old photograhs concerning your involvement in theschool are welcome.

Lastly we need sponsors for this magazine. We estimate the cost of the magazine to be RM 20.00 per copy. There3 ways to sponsor this magazine. Firstly you can sponsor according to the year of your graduation. That is sponsorshipby year. There are 3 possible choices. First is by the number of copies. The group can sponsor either a 100 copies oror 50 copies. Secondly the group can sponsor any number of copies. Thirdly we also welcome individual sponsorshipaccording to the number of copies.

Your sponsorship is much needed in order for us to produce this centennial magazine. We are planning to print1000 copies and it will be as a collectors item.

Thank you very much for your help given and looking forward to hear from you all. Please pass the wordaround so that all macsians will in the know of this and come to join us for the centennial dinner for 2011.I will brief you all later about the dinner as things progresses.
