Lest We Forget - Jalil 1967 - 2008

Fellow Macsians ,
Please be informed that I received a phone call from our fellow Macsian 85' Rahim Kueh Badak with the news of Jalil's recent demise (2 months ago ) . He had a heart attack . Here's a tribute to our fellow Macsian and fond memories of him.

I have known Jalil since Form 3 , he came in as a retain student from the Class of '84 . However he made it through while he was with our class Form 3B. In Form 4 he was made a School Prefect. The huge fellow was always jovial and never fail to give assistance when needed. Very active in voluntary work , especially during the school repainting project while some of us would shy away from the painting task and fooling around .
After school , he joined the Malaysian Police Force and attached to the Federal Reserve Unit. Not much heard about him until Rahim called today.

ACS , Sun Yat Sen House Hockey Team 1984

The Famous SYS Hockey Team , Champion of 1984 , Inter House Tournament. They beat Tagore ( Blue ) House 3-0 , Lincoln ( Yellow ) 1-0 and Baden - Powell ( Green ) House in the finals 2-1.

Top Scorer , Ivan Teoh 2 goals , Wong Wah Sum 2 goals , Rajesh 1 goal , Chai Teck Beng 1 goal.

I was in the Sun Yat Sen House Hockey team too , after being forced by Mrs Chin , cant recall why i wasnt in the pics hehe.

Wong Wah Sum after 22 years

A small gathering at Ivan's place specially designed for MACSians who are currently based in KL. A long lost fellow mACSian Wong Wah Sum also turn up for the event, same old Asam. Dinner prepared by Ivan's wifey was great ! Thanks a lot.

The greatest challenge that night was to get to Ivan's house , thanks to Robin and Colin for rescuing me from getting lost further into the land of the unknown.
